The Farm Story

The Tres Barras community, situated near Alto Caparaó and adjacent to the Caparaó National Park, enjoys a unique microclimate heavily influenced by the park. When FAFCoffees began operations in this area, Fernando Heringer, characterized by his long blond rockstar hair and passion for playing the guitar, became one of the initial partners, earning him the moniker 'Rockstar Farmer.' With FAFCoffees' assistance, he acquired skills in precise coffee harvesting, enhanced drying, and refined post-harvest processing, resulting in a significantly cleaner and sweeter coffee. Heringer shared these innovative practices with fellow farmers, collectively elevating the value of their coffees and contributing to the region's reputation for high-quality, uniquely flavored coffees. Today, the Tres Barras community is celebrated for its exceptional coffees distinguished by superior sensory profiles.
